What is an MSD?

TMS (Transport Management System) is transport management software dedicated to planning, executing and optimizing all logistics operations.

There are TMSs for carriers, forwarders and shippers. Shiptify is a TMS for shippers.

What features does a TMS offer?

Every TMS is made up of several functional bricks, both "basic" and "advanced".

  • Key functionalities : transport planning, transport order and carrier management, decision support and centralized documentation.
  • Advanced features: multi-modality, return flow management, transport order automation, cost management, strategic KPI tracking, maritime tracking, etc.

How does Shiptify maritime tracking work?

Shiptify's TMS relies on integration to automatically retrieve official shipping line data (vessel position, ETD/ETA, calls, status). Once the container number has been entered, tracking is updated continuously, without any manual action.

Do I need to connect to several company portals?
No. All information is centralized directly in Shiptify. No need to go to company websites, send emails to forwarders or maintain Excel files.
How often are data updated?

Transit points and key events are updated along the route, approximately every 30 minutes. So you get a near-real-time view of movements and potential hazards.

What types of events are detected?
